Following the sudden death of popular actress Bai Hua, her closest companions are left to grapple with painful truths and accusations of complicity. Inspired by the notion that “Hell is other people,” the play unfolds as a series of introspective inquisitions, where each character must confront their most flawed and vulnerable selves. 

Directed by Judy Ngo, Wilting White Lilac by NUS Chinese Drama is an engaging theatrical experience featuring vivid soundscapes by NUS Electronic Music Lab. Uniquely staged with performers encircling the audience, this production explores how our sense of self is inevitably shaped by those around us.
